Altaf I.S
CEO

Favour-ita Group is built on the strong foundation laid by a team of visionaries who migrated from North-Western India to Kerala in the early 1750s, primarily sensing the huge potential in the seafood and commodities business. Favour-ita International was founded in 1995, with a view to cater to the food needs of Asian Community scattered in various countries across the globe. Also there is a growing demand for Indian ethnic foodstuffs in countries like USA, U.K. & Australia where there are large Asian populations. To meet this demand, the company has entered into the field of manufacturing Frozen Ready-to-eat Indian Foodstuffs.

Mr.Altaf Ismail, a young fifth generation entrepreneur, who has considerable experience in the seafood industry, is the man who visualized the whole concept of Frozen Foodstuff in ready-to-eat form. There were no role models or any set standards available at the time he started off this business and therefore each & every step was to be put forward carefully, by adopting professional management practices and diversifying in a large way. Since Importing countries have stringent rules & regulations especially for import of food items, Favour-ita ensures that strict quality measures are adhered to, with focus on food R&D to continuously understand the needs of the consumers. Today Favour-ita International caters to most of the consumer markets in the U.S.A, Europe & Australia and also sourcing importers for other countries.

The beginning was humble, with only four items like Kerala Paratta, Idly, Idiyappam & Masala Dosa. However, the untiring efforts and daring nature of Mr.Altaf to take up challenges has helped the company to have a product range of over hundred items in its portfolio for the Asian communities.

Favour-ita has a 20,000 Sq. Ft. processing unit in Cochin, India, which is equipped with most modern equipments and also has a 200 ton capacity cold storage facility. This unit produces 10000 consumer packs of different products per day. There are other four separate units put up by the group; each for Ethnic food, Seafood, Processing of Crab Shells and Scallop shells.

The company is looking forward to establishing long term tie-ups with prospective buyers, traders and super market chains in its expansion plans this year, whilst continuing to meet the requirements of its existing customers.
